Last night was a celebration of two birthdays: my beautiful sister-in-law Erin, and my Father-in-law. Both of our families went out for a meal at an Indian restaurant in Brighton called Charminar; it was a very busy night, being a Saturday of a long weekend, so there was a lot of atmosphere (but an unfortunately long wait!). Brendan and I tend to order butter chicken every time we go out to eat Indian and, true to form, Brendan barely looked at the menu before ordering his trusty favourite, but I decided to branch out and chose the Bhuna Gosht, a smoky lamb curry laden with spices. I was pleasantly surprised with the tender meat, perfect amount of spice and rich tomato sauce.
It was a fun night with family, friends and food (alliteration much?!); before we went out my husband kindly took some photos of my outfit for me to post – I just dressed for comfort but felt a little bit rock-chic with the short black jacket, studded shoes and red lips.
