Back in October I shared this post about The Vintage Fair at the retro Bloomsbury Lanes, and to celebrate the end of my shopping embargo (AKA the Wardrobe Challenge) I decided to check out the May Vintage Fair (it comes to London on the first Sunday of every month). This was the last time the fair would be held at Bloomsbury Lanes, so I thought I’d document it, as the venue is worth a photo or two! Here are a few of my favourite snaps from the day:
I went to the fair with a £20 budget and managed to find a gem of a dress for £15 – I have always loved pleats (I wanted pleated dresses for my bridesmaids, but couldn’t find them anywhere), so when I saw this gorgeous polka-dot number I knew I had to have it:
As you can see, it’s a bit transparent, but I found a slip at Primark for £6 which provides the necessary modesty…I am also planning on making a navy blue ribbon belt to go around the waist just to finish off the look. I was really happy with my purchase, and the friend I was with bought a number of great vintage items for bargain prices, so it was a successful shopping trip! We finished the day with a lazy late lunch at All Bar One in Covent Garden – a fresh salad and a crisp glass of white on a sunny day is about as good as it gets!Want to see more posts like this?
