Ladurée: where food & fashion meet

If you know me even just a little bit, you’re probably aware that one of my favourite things in the whole world is Ladurée macarons (no, not macaroons…don’t get me started on that debate!). They make the most divinely delicate flavours such as rose and ginger, salted caramel and orange blossom, and the texture is just perfect: a paper-thin crispy exterior with a chewy interior and melt-in-your-mouth fillings. If you haven’t tried one of these bite sized delights, and are lucky enough to live in reach of them, go try one now. Seriously.

There is no way to improve Ladurée’s offerings…or so I thought…until I read this article on Women’s Wear Daily today. Ladurée macarons in designer packaging?! I think this will be my favourite thing to come out of Fashion Week (and definitely the only item I’ll be able to afford!):

The best part is that the gorgeous butterfly print box by London-based Matthew Williamson can be used again: I’m thinking jewellery box, silk scarf holder or makeup box…?

How would you use yours?
