[style file: mustard & lace]

Anthropologie lace top

Something I’m hoping to do this year (not a resolution though!) is to stop buying cheap, badly made clothing and start buying pieces that can stay in my wardrobe for longer than one season. As my budget for new clothes is fairly small, this means I’m going to have to shop sales and thrift stores/charity shops instead of Primark/H&M. My first sale purchase was this mustard lace top from Anthropologie. I adore that store, but can only afford items in the sale; and thankfully I found this lovely top for just £20 – I’ve been looking for a mustard top and a lace top so this just combined both.

I love both of these pieces individually and combined they make a really great outfit… well done! I’m doing the same, less is more when they are quality, staple pieces, shop on! -JB.

Ohh, I love that top! Mustard is one of my absolute favourite colours – and I adore the lace texture! So so so gorgeous!

Apparently we really do think a like.  I’m with you on better quality items to last in your wardrobe.  Love the top… the colour is so warm! xx

Your new top looks great with that skirt, an unexpected combination but it really works!

I’ve started to invest more too. Because we’re worth it!! ;)

I really love this look, I always say to myself to ‘invest’ in pieces but I guess it’s just far too easy to get sucked in by trendy fast fashion!

you look stunning Elle. I agree with you- I would somehow always fall in the trap of H&M. I do love Anthropologie. Nice find.
