“A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush” means that it’s better to be happy with what you have, whether it be a small amount, than to wish for more things that you don’t, and may never have. I like to live my life by this adage; it’s what keeps me travelling, allows me to take risks so I can have amazing experiences and focuses my attention on the important things in life. I am grateful for what I have; sometimes I feel like it’s a small amount and other times I feel overwhelmingly blessed.
My creativity-challenged office day-job has made me all the more determined to be creative and find adventure. A perpetual traveller, experimental cook and wannabe fashionista, I want to share my creative moments with others, which was my reason for starting this blog. I love to write and I’m grateful that I can communicate the things I am passionate about.
Elle Croft is a pseudonym I use, mostly because there are so many Lauren Crofts in the world that all the related URLs and Twitter accounts were already taken, but also because I like the name; I feel like Elle is more mysterious and possibly more glamourous than Lauren…
